Pakistan Vs South Africa 1st ODI 2021:

Pakistan beat South Africa in the first ODI of the 3 match series by three wickets. At 1:00pm, Pakistan won the toss and and elected to bowl first. Due to the Covid-19 SOPs, they have to play behind closed doors. While batting first, South Africa set a total of 273 runs on the loss of six wickets. South African batsmen had to face little bit difficulty while giving target as they loss three early wickets on just 43 runs. South African Ex Captain Quinton de Kock lost his wicket first of all on the bowl of Shaheen Shah Afridi. After that Markram and then the Captain himself lost his wicket as well. 


South African Innings:

In the total of 273-6, Rassie van der Dussen made an exceptional and fantastic century and remained not out on 123 off 134 balls, David Miller also scored half century on 56 balls. They were the leading run scorer of South African side. 

On the other hand, from the bowling side, Shaheen Afridi got 2 wickets with 61 runs conceded who was the leading wicket-taker of this match as well. Haris also got 2 wickets but little bit expensive this night. Faheem Ashraf got only one wicket but only gave 25 runs in 9 overs.

Pakistani Innings:

While chasing target of 274, Pakistan lost their first wicket after the very first start of the innings on just 9 runs. And then the captain of Pakistani team Babar Azam made a great partnership with Imam ul Haq of 177 runs. Babar Azam also made his 13th century in this innings. He scored 103 runs off 104 balls including 17 brilliant strokes. 

Imam Ul Haq also scored 70 runs off 80 balls including 3 fours and 1 six as well. After their partnership of 177 runs, Pakistani batting collapsed one by one. Asif Ali again did not perform very well as tonight he was also out of form. Danish Aziz who made his debut today just scored 3 runs off 6 balls. After the loss of 186/2, they lost 203/5 wickets. 

After that Rizwan came onto crease and scored 40 brilliant and sensible runs on just 52 balls, and also made a good partnership with shadab khan as well. After all that they needed 13 runs on 12 balls. Faheem beat few balls initially and then after the wicket of Shadab Khan, he put few runs on scoreboard and took Pakistan across the victory line.
