Pakistan Beat SA By 28 Runs And Won The Series By 2-1 - Fakhar's Brilliant Century - BlogsByHuzaifa

Pakistan And South Africa 3rd ODI 2021:

The final ODI between Pak and SA was played yesterday at
SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium, SA. Like the previous two matches, yesterday's match was so thrilled as well. South Africa won the toss and Bavuma decided to bowl first. Pakistani captain briefed us about few changes in playing XI.

In the Pakistani team, few changes were made as Sarfaraz was in the final selection of playing XI in the 3rd ODI. Muhammad Nawaz and Hasan Ali played as well for the national side. Asif Ali had to leave the spot because of his recent poor performance. Shadab Khan was facing a toe injury that's why he was out of the squad.

And in the South African team, there were also made a few changes as de Kock, Ngidi, Rabada was out of the team because they all had to leave the game because of the Bio-Secure bubble for IPL 2021.
Janneman Malan, J.J Smuts, and Keshav Maharaj got the place in the final ODI.

Pakistan beat SA by 28 runs and won the series by 2-1. South Africa didn't achieve the target of 321 runs in a 50 overs game.

While batting first, Pakistan scored 320-runs on the loss of 7 wickets. The opening pair gave a good start to Pakistani batting and set a partnership of 112.  After that Imam ul Haq got out scoring 57 on 73 balls. Again Fakhar Zaman scored a fabulous Century and got out on 101 off 104 balls.

After that Captain Babar "The Brilliant" Azam came onto the crease, played a brilliant 94 on 82 balls innings, and set a total of 320-7 in 50 overs. He stood onto the crease but the batting lineup fell from another end. Middle-order batting again failed in the final ODI.

While chasing the target of 321 in 50 overs, SA openers also gave a little bit good start but then their batting order couldn't bear the pressure and all-out on 292. Janneman Malan played beautiful innings of 70 off 81 balls, Kyle Verreynne also scored 62 runs but not enough to reach the total.

Then Kyle Verreynne and Andile Phehlukwayo came and set a 108-run partnership and gave South Africa some hope to achieve the target.

But then Haris Rauf removed Verreynne on (62) in the 44th over. South Africa was 248 at that time.

After that, they didn't set a rhythm into their batting and collapsed on 292.
